Mushroom Sculpting Class Session 2

Come create 2 small decorative mushroom sculptures using house made paper clay. First day we will plan and build our little fungi, learning how paper clay can create thin yet sturdy structures. The second day we will glaze our work, exploring glaze combos for fun effects or planning out more natural looks.

Some hand building experience is helpful but not required. Feel free to bring in reference pictures of what you would like to make. All levels of experience welcome. Ages 15 and up. Includes all materials and firing services.

Beginning Wheel Throwing - Thursday Evenings

In this class, students will learn the basic techniques of centering, pulling, shaping, trimming, and glazing clay.

Through hands-on demonstrations and individualized instruction, students will develop their skills in creating functional pottery such as cups, bowls, plates, and vases. This class is ideal for anyone who is new to pottery or wants to refresh their skills, and is open to adults of all ages and abilities. Students will have access to a fully equipped studio with pottery wheels, tools, and firing kilns, and will receive all necessary materials for the class. By the end of the course, students will have created several finished pieces and will have a solid understanding of the process of wheel throwing.

This class is open to adults of all ages and abilities, and is ideal for those who are new to ceramics or want to expand their repertoire of techniques. Students will have access to a fully equipped studio with a variety of clay, tools, and firing kilns, and will receive all necessary materials for the class. By the end of the course, students will have created several finished pieces and will have a strong foundation in the techniques and aesthetics of hand-built ceramics.

Ages 16+ welcome! No experience necessary

This class does not include any time on the wheel.
